New Catering Provider
We have recently moved to a new provider for our catering in school. The new company looking after our catering is “Catering Provider of the Year 2017” Mellors. More information about them can be found at www.mellorscatering.co.uk
All cheques for school lunches should now be made payable to Mellors. Money must be put onto students account before buying a meal. This can be done in one of three ways:
- Putting coins into a machine on the wall in school. The machine will take £2, £1, 50p, 20p and 10p coins.
- Cheque (payable to Mellors) or notes handed in at the desk in the Dining Hall.
- Online at www.Parentpay.com If you child is currently a student at EMS or starting in September you should have received a letter with your unique Username and Password. If you haven’t got this or are experiencing any issues accessing your account please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we can get you up and running.
Money can be paid in periodically at your own convenience but we would suggest that you credit the account with enough funds to last a week or a month. This means that students do not need to carry cash every day.

Help Your School
If your child is eligible for free school meals, it’s worth registering them. This is because schools receive a ‘Pupil Premium’ – an extra payment for each eligible child which they can spend on useful services
The Application Procedure
The quickest way to apply for free school meals is to make a telephone application on 01429 284188.
OR you can make your claim for Free School Meals through Jobcentreplus.
OR you can collect a paper application form from your child’s school or the Civic Centre.
Applicants should forward the completed application form to: Civic Centre, Victoria Road , Hartlepool, TS24 8AY.
