Stuart Brand is a lead coach for Improtech soccer and has been heavily involved in running Improtech’s successful academies at Kepier and Sunderland College over the last 6 years as well as English Martyrs.
Stuart is a passionate UEFA B Licensed coach who also holds the Full Youth Award licence. He is one of the top young coaches in the game and is looking to begin the UEFA A course shortly.
Stuart excels in youth development and helping players to fulfil their potential. He has an abundance of contacts across the UK for both professional and semi-professional clubs. This has seen Stuart leading various Improtech age groups to impressive victories in showcase games over the past few seasons, as well as supporting a number of players into professional academies. With Stuart’s enthusiasm and technical coaching ability for the beautiful game, our players receive unrivalled opportunities and pathways to develop into the best footballer they can be.
Since moving to the UK from Ireland at age 16 to pursue his football career, Colin has played for eight UK Football clubs including two local teams, Gateshead and Hartlepool.
Colin joined Sunderland College at a Football Coach in July 2015, where he has been coaching students aged 16 and over.
Colin is also a highly respected coach in the North East through his coaching work with Sunderland RCA and Hartlepool FC.
Steve Golightly is the current director of Football Education for Improtech soccer and an ex-professional player with Sunderland AFC.
Steve is also a UEFA A Licence coach and has 15 years coaching experience with U14/15/16 teams at Middlesbrough AFC and Sunderland AFC.
As a qualified teacher of Physical Education and an ex-head of PE at Farringdon Community Academy, Steve is a vastly experienced youth coach who has a real passion and commitment to improving young players technically and tactically.
