On Tuesday 29th January 2019 the ever popular Year 7-9 House Quiz was held in St. Anne’s Hall.

Split into ten teams, two teams for each house, the students battled it out over eight rounds of questions.  Topics included – TV & Film, Sport, Flags & Music.

Two-time champions, and the only winners of the House Quiz, Blessed John Ingram were out to defend their crown, however, their reign of supremacy came to an end as they could only manage third place in this year’s competition.  A shame – they really needed the points!

This year it was the turn of St. Anne Line to scoop the trophy and the large haul of points, again, much needed sitting fourth in the overall standings. Second place was clinched by St. Thomas More with St. Margaret Clitherow in fourth and overall leaders St. John Boste in last place – their huge lead slightly reducing at the top.

The quiz is always a great event, well attended, fun and friendly competition.  Enjoyed by everyone involved.

Well done to all of the teams who took part and a special vote of thanks to our ‘Genius Bar’ of House Captains who helped mark the answer sheets.
