Our Year 12 students are currently completing a range of fundraising activities for CAFOD over the next few months as part of their ASDAN qualification within their Morals, Ethics and Philosophy lessons.
This course not only equips them with UCAS points for University, but also develops their skills in working as a team, setting themselves targets and reviewing their progress throughout. They took part in a Conference lead by the RE Department and CAFOD volunteers in October to kick start their fundraising project and will invite a representative in to hand in the total money raised after Christmas. As an added competitive element there will also be a prize for the group that raises the most funds.
One of our groups have decided to organise a Go Green for CAFOD day on Friday 8th December.
The rules are simple:
If a student would like to support the event the cost is £1. This entitles them to attend school in Non-uniform whilst wearing an item of Green Clothing. (T-shirt, Jumper, Bottoms) – accessories do not count.
If they don’t want to support the event then they must attend in Full Uniform.
Please note: This event is not compulsory and is not a Full Non-Uniform Day. Students MUST be wearing an item of Green Clothing to support the event.
Other Events are also being organised – including Photobooth, Staff Quiz and…
