On Tuesday 19th December, St. Hilda’s Church on Hartlepool’s historic headland, played host for our Annual Christmas Concert.

There was standing room only as people poured through the doors to enjoy an evening of carols and readings in the stunning venue, once again stamping its popularity in our busy calendar of events.

The audience witnessed stunning performances from our Orchestra, Big Band, Youth Voices and the Woodwind Ensemble along with two solo performances from Year 13 students Grace Allen, who sang Ave Maria, and Will Hartley who played Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy on the Grand Piano.

The Chamber Choir were also on hand to give numerous performances, one of which being O Holy Night, a rendition which left everyone in the room feeling extremely festive.  This performance, along with a few others on the evening, were broadcast live on our Facebook Page – O Holy Night racking up 8,700 views to date.

We would like to thank the parishioners of St. Hilda’s for welcoming us as they do every year and their hospitality whilst we are there.

On behalf of everyone at EMS we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

There’s over a 100 pictures from the evening in the Gallery to have a look through.
